CAMERON, STEVE "THE KILLER" age 60 of Knoxville was born September 19, 1948 and lost his six year battle with cancer at home on Tuesday, June 9, 2009.

He was an avid bow hunter and loved fishing and being in the outdoors. He especially enjoyed the many hours spent on the farm with special friends Ronnie and Debbie French. He was a retired foreman from the line department at KUB after 35 years of service. He served in the US army in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was a member of Christ United Methodist church in Knoxville. Coach Campbell was a member of the Greater Knoxville Sports Hall of Fame and a successful basketball coach.

His coaching legacy began at North Greenville Junior College in South Carolina and continued at Furman University, The Citadel, Xavier University, Belmont College and finally at Halls and Carter High Schools. He preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Jean Fletcher Campbell; survivors include son, Chris Campbell, currently serving in Iraq, Kim King Campbell; grandchildren, Christopher Campbell and Jessica Campbell, all of Maryville. Drucilla has resided in Hallandale, FL since 1973, where she was in nursing administration for Parkway General Hospital until retirement.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Hobert and Hazel Robbins-Burgess of Lafollette, TN. Drucilla's oldest sister had also recently preceded in her in death, Glenadene Claiborne of Daytona, OH. Drucilla leaves one daughter Cris Angelea Kramer, and two grandsons, Louis Kramer of Hallandale, FL and Martin Kramer of Key West, FL. Drucilla is also survived by two loving sisters, June (Henry) Goins of Lafollette, TN and Armenda (Robert) Smith of Hamilton, OH. There are five nephews, Michael Goins, Jerry Goins and Terry Goins of LaFollette, TN, Gary and Bill Claiborne of Daytona, OH; two nieces, Gail (Jeff) Osborne of Rocky Mountain, NC and Brenda (Craig) Tolbert of New Orleans, LA.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 3pm in the Greenwood Cemetery. SHANNON, GLENN HAGGARD of Kingston passed away Monday June 8, 2009. A native of Vartburg, TN Morgan County, presently residing Kingston, TN, Roane County, where he has lived for the past fifty years. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he had been active in many programs, serving as teacher of young men's Sunday School Class, discipleship training director.

He served on a pastor search committee three different times and was an active deacon for eighteen years. He served as one of the money counters and was chairman of the benevolence committee. In 1990 he was recognized for his outstanding service to the church. He was member of Young at being he served three terms as president. He was a member of ESP Choir and was willing to serve anywhere he was needed.

He taught biology and was a high school basketball coach for five years. He was later employed by Union Carbide at the K-25 Plant in Oak Ridge from which he retired after 37 years of service. Preceded in death by wife Lillian M. Shannon; his parents Hezekiah and Texas McCartt Shannon; sisters Maggie Sexton Collett, Georgia DeBord, Louise Heidel; brothers Lee, Bill, Charley, Houk, Elijah, Elmer and Clifford Shannon and several nieces and nephews.
